5-year warranty on every IoT FENSTER device

A 5-year warranty on every IoT FENSTER device: what it covers, what it doesn't, when it starts and why we're confident enough to offer it to you.

5-year warranty on every IoT FENSTER device

There's a simple way to tell how much a manufacturer trusts what it makes: look at how many years it's willing to guarantee it. At IoT FENSTER our answer is clear, with a 5-year warranty on every device we make, from CONNECT EVO to C-WALL and C-PULSAR.

It isn't there to dress up a spec sheet. It's the result of how we design, build and test each unit. Below you'll find exactly what it covers, what it doesn't, and why we're comfortable offering it.

Why a 5-year warranty matters for smart windows and shutters

When you motorise a roller shutter or connect a window, you're not fitting a gadget you'll replace in a couple of years. You're putting electronics inside a window or door that needs to keep working for years, often somewhere that isn't easy to reach.

Every device involves design, electronics, firmware and communications. If those aren't right from the start, no sales pitch will fix it later. That's why we'd rather let the warranty do the talking.

What's behind it: how every device is made

The warranty rests on four specific pillars.

Every unit tested before it ships

Before any device is signed off, it goes through a full quality test that checks:

  • Electronics.
  • Operation.
  • Communication.
  • A final quality check.

Every single unit is tested, not just a sample from each batch.

Designed and built in Spain

Design, integration and manufacturing all take place in Spain. That gives us control over the whole process, full traceability and consistent quality from start to finish.

CE marking with our own documentation

All our devices carry their own CE marking, with the declaration of conformity issued and managed in Spain.

Cyber resilience built into development

A connected device also has to be secure. We develop with security, updates and good practice in mind, in line with the CRA, the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

What the 5-year warranty covers

The warranty covers faults caused by defects in manufacturing, components or assembly that appear under normal use. The condition is that the device has been installed and used in line with its technical specifications and installation manuals.

If there's a covered fault, after a technical assessment we can repair the device or replace it with an equivalent one, as appropriate.

The 5-year period starts from the date of purchase, shown on the invoice, delivery note or an equivalent document. Keep it safe: it's the first thing we'll ask for.

It's also an additional commercial warranty, so it doesn't limit the rights you already have as a buyer under applicable law. You can read the full terms in our commercial warranty.

What isn't covered

Being clear here avoids surprises. The warranty doesn't cover damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation.
  • External power surges.
  • Knocks or impacts.
  • Moisture beyond the specified limits.
  • Unauthorised tampering or improper use.

Your Wi-Fi isn't the device

This point is worth explaining properly, because it's the most common question we get. Issues that depend solely on your router, Wi-Fi coverage, internet provider or third-party services and platforms aren't considered a device defect.

In other words, if the shutter at the far end of the house drops its connection because the Wi-Fi doesn't reach properly, the device isn't faulty. That's what solutions like MultiWiFi are for, as we explain in our article on coverage.

Which devices it applies to

Every IoT FENSTER device: controllers such as CONNECT EVO, CONNECT-2 and CONNECT-1, C-PULSAR for aluminium windows, the C-WALL wall switch and the rest of our IoT sensors and controllers.

Frequently asked questions

When does the 5-year period start?

From the date of purchase shown on the invoice, delivery note or an equivalent document.

What should I do if I think my device has failed?

Contact our support team with your proof of purchase. We'll work out whether the problem lies with the device, the motor or the installation and, if it's a covered defect, we'll repair or replace the unit.

Does the warranty cover Wi-Fi connection problems?

Not when the cause is the router, coverage, internet provider or third-party platforms. In those cases the device is working properly and the fix is to improve the network.

Does it replace my statutory rights?

No. It's an additional commercial warranty and doesn't limit the rights you have as a buyer.

Does it cover a poor installation?

No. The warranty requires the device to have been installed and used according to its specifications and manuals. If in doubt, check with your installer or distributor before fitting it.
